I started this blog as a way of getting comfortable with my writing even when the quality of my writing isn't at its best.
The plan was to publish a new post every day for two years (you can read more about the challenge by clicking here for the first blog entry) and I got off to a pretty good start, going 50 days without missing a post.
Then, at 1:33 pm on September 29, my world fell apart: my beloved cat Neji passed away following a very short illness.
Neji was my best friend, the greatest companion I have ever known, and you can read more about how much he meant to me by clicking here to read the previous blog entry.
With Neji gone, I lost the drive to do much of anything for a while, including the blog, and it has taken two full months for me to muster the energy to restart this thing.
Honestly, I'm still not sure if I want to keep the blog going, or whether re-committing to the two-year challenge is going to be worthwhile or if it will just cause more mental and emotional stress than it's worth.
But I owe it to Neji to give it another shot, and if it doesn't work out, at least I can say I tried again.
So, here I am, holding myself accountable and endeavouring to upload a new blog post every day for the next two years.
One down, 729 to go (again).
